AmbleLoop is committed to making the marketing site and the mobile app usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This statement covers ambleloop.com.
1. Standards we aim for
The site targets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We test against this standard regularly.
2. What we’ve built in
- Semantic HTML5 throughout, with proper heading structure
- All interactive elements reachable and operable by keyboard
- Visible focus indicators on all focusable elements
- Colour contrast meeting AA on body text, AAA where possible
- Alternative text on all meaningful images
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem preference: animations are disabled or simplified when this is set - Forms with associated labels, clear error messages, and sensible default values
- The site works at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling on a 1280px viewport
3. Known limitations
At time of writing, we are aware that the gallery wall on the journal page uses decorative emoji which are read out by some screen readers as their unicode name. These are wrapped with aria-hidden where decorative, but a small number of readers may still announce them. We are working on a solution.
The custom cursor on desktop is decorative only. It does not affect interaction. People who use screen readers, voice control, or keyboard navigation are not affected.
4. Feedback
If you find a part of the site you cannot use, please tell us. Email accessibility@ambleloop.com with a description of the issue, the page you were on, the device and browser you used, and what you expected to happen. We aim to respond within five working days.
5. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
